ICRC took 793 biological samples from families of those, missing in the I Karabakh War

793 biological reference samples were taken by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in 2021 from families of 316 people, who went missing as a result of the conflict in the 90s to create a condition for future identification of human remains, it has been noted at the event on activities of the ICRC in 2021, APA reports.

It has been added that 346 operations were conducted in the combat areas in 2020 with the participation of the ICRC as a neutral mediator for the search and taking of people. Besides, families of 347 missing people were provided with psychological-social support, and families of 258 missing people were provided with financial assistance.
