III edition of Red Book of Azerbaijan is presented-PHOTO

III edition of Red Book of Azerbaijan (an official state document on the status of rare and endangered species of wild animals and plants in Azerbaijan) was presented in at the conference on the protection of biological diversity dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, APA reports.

241 rare and endangered species of fauna (152 vertebrates, 89 invertebrates) and 460 species of flora (423 plants: 383 ali, 15 all-spored, 6 mosses, 14 sedges, 5 algae ; 37 mushrooms) is reflected in the III edition of Red Book with two volumes.

Rare and endangered species from Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur economic region were also studied and included in the III edition.
