“I would like to touch upon the issue of illegal exploitation of mineral deposits and natural resources of Azerbaijan. We demand the establishment of all the necessary conditions for our experts in order to monitor the current state of the environment in the areas where natural resources are extracted," said Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev at a round table dedicated to strategic consultations held in Agdam city to discuss important processes and initiatives, and advanced approaches in cooperation between the UN and the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The minister stressed that the illegal exploitation of natural deposits in Azerbaijan must be ended.
