Ministry: 76% of Zod gold deposit is in Azerbaijan’s territory

76 % of the Zod gold deposit is in Azerbaijan's territory (Kalbajar), and 24 % in Armenia’s territory, the head of the National Geological Exploration Service of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources Ali Aliyev told APA.

According to him, preliminary there are 112 tones of gold reserves and it is possible that these reserves will be reevaluated in the future: “Serious exploitation was carried out during the occupation period. The damage is in the phase of evaluation now. After completion of the process, residual reserves will be calculated and works will be launched by state or any company.”
