Monitoring conducted to assess pollution in Okchuchay

Employees of the Institute of Physiology named after Academician Abdulla Garayev were on a business trip in the Zangilan region, ANAS told APA.

During the expedition, the head of the Ecotoxicology Laboratory, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Grigoriy Palatnikov and the same laboratory assistant Sovet Khumbatov participated in conducting physico-chemical and biological monitoring works in Okchuchay as part of the working group created by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Within the framework of complex scientific research works planned in Okchuchay basin, the necessary materials have been obtained for the assessment of transboundary pollution, its impact on soil and water resources, and the study of the physiological state of aquatic and terrestrial organisms.
