Peter Michalko: "A draft on protection order for victims of violence en prepared"

"MPs can raise the issue of violence against women in parliament," said Peter Michalko, President of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, at the event on "Preventing violence against women and domestic violence and the role of national parliaments in combating it."

According to him, in addition, a national action plan to eliminate violence against women should be developed and included in the school curriculum to ensure equality in education:

"Together with the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs, we have prepared and submitted to the Milli Majlis draft orders on including domestic violence in the criminal code and protecting victims of violence."
