Implementation of the task given by President Ilham Aliyev to prepare for the return of our compatriots who were forcibly displaced from the city of Lachin thirty years ago and temporarily settled in different parts of our republic has begun, APA reports citing the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs.
In this regard, a meeting was held with a group of internally displaced persons.
The meeting participants held an open and honest exchange of views regarding the preparations for the return and the organization of the resettlement. The people of Lachin expressed their readiness to return to their homeland, contribute to its socio-economic development, eliminate the consequences of the occupation, and revive the city in the heart of the mountains.
