Preparations for holding the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis are nearing completion, APA reports citing State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
According to the information, the congress is due to take place in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, liberated by our mighty army under the leadership of Victorius Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
The congress participants will first visit the Alley of Honor in Baku, the Alley of Martyrs I and II, and then leave for Shusha.
About 400 diaspora representatives from 65 countries are expected to attend the event. After the official opening ceremony, the event will host a report on the activities of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, as well as discussions on "Challenges facing the Azerbaijani Diaspora in the postwar period", "Contributions of the Azerbaijani Diaspora to the restoration and reconstruction of Karabakh."
Notably, 5 th Congress of World Azerbaijanis will be the first major meeting of our diaspora after the liberation of Karabakh, which has demonstrated high organization and unity in recent years and played a special role in informing the international community about the realities of Azerbaijan.
