Representation of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has started a new project aimed at improving emergency medical care and infection prevention and control systems in the country, APA reports.
The project worth USD 3,35 mln and funded by USAID will support the Ministry of Health, State Agency of Mandatory Health Insurance, Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TABIB), and Azerbaijan Medical University through the WHO.
Within the framework of the project, governance structures, national strategies, standards, and procedures will be supported for both systems, and relevant education programs will be established in the Azerbaijani Medical University, medical colleges, and other educational institutions.
