Azerbaijan becomes one of most popular foreign destination for Russian tourists in January

Azerbaijan was one of the 10 most popular destinations for Russian tourists according to the results of January of this year, the report of OneTwoTrip online travel service says, APA-Economics reports.

Service analysts identified the most popular countries by analyzing the orders during January with December of the previous year.

Among the foreign destinations available for Russian tourists, most of the orders were to Sri Lanka, flights in this direction increased by 193%. Although there are several serious rules for entry in this country, this direction attracted many people here in winter.

In January the share of orders for flights to the Maldives increased by 126% in comparison to December. Israel ranks third place.

As well as among the most popular destinations for Russian travelers in January, Montenegro (the share of orders increased by 104%), Georgia (+ 67%), Thailand (+ 61%), the United Arab Emirates (+ 37%), Turkey (+ 26%), Azerbaijan (+ 18%) and others took place.
