In order to increase the number of wild animals and birds in the game reserves of Azerbaijan, to minimize the impact on the natural population of the species, to encourage the concept of "responsible and ethical hunter", as well as to train foreign hunters and ensure compliance with the rules, the Nature and Hunting Tourism Association has been operating since 2022, APA reports.
According to it Statute, Association will also undertake important functions by consulting with tourism companies as an Association in areas such as discussing current problems, developing programs aimed on sustainable development, developing game reserves, creating entertainment infrastructure for children in these game reserves, establishing educational and informational facilities and in other areas, which are envisaged by its Statute.
The main purpose of the Association is to promote "responsible and ethical hunting" in the broadest sense, to promote compliance with Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan and norms of international agreements, which are part of national legislation, to organize sustainable biodiversity conservation and to ensure its sustainable use.
