“Our forecast from the beginning of this year proved itself right and the tourism industry is restored by 50%,” said the Head of the Azerbaijani Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev during his speech at Azerbaijani Tourism Summit 2022, APA reports.
He stressed that 10 directions are determined for the development of tourism: “The directions are aimed at the implementation of measures provided in the 2022-2026 State Program. Our goal is to accomplish tourist flow from abroad to 4 mln people and domestic tourism to 6 mln people by 2026. We believe that tourism income will increase fourfold and reach AZN 11,2 bln and AZN 5,5 bln of this will fall to expenses of foreign tourists”.
