Number of foreigners visiting Azerbaijan increased by 2.3 times

In January-June of 2022, 638.6 thousand foreigners and stateless persons from 166 countries have visited Azerbaijan, which is 2.3 times more compared to corresponding period of previous year, APA-Economics reports citing State Statistics Committee.

25.0 percent of the arrivals came from the Russian Federation, 23.8 percent from Turkiye, 13.0 percent from Iran, 5.2 percent from Georgia, 4.6 percent from Saudi Arabia, 2.8 percent from Pakistan, and 2.4 percent from each of the United Arab Emirates and India, 2.3 percent of Ukraine, 1.8 percent of Kazakhstan, 1.3 percent from each of Kuwait and Great Britain, and 14.1 percent of other countries. 78.3 percent of the arrivals were men, and 21.7 percent were women.
