Azerbaijan’s MIA: Two persons disseminating disinformation agitating people regarding coronavirus detected

The implementation of the necessary social isolation measures due to coronavirus infection is being continued in the country, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.

However, the owners of some catering enterprises situated in some cities and regions of the country including the capital city of Baku attempt to continue their activity by violating the working mode determined for relevant facilities. Such facilities and their owners are being detected by means of the implemented control measures, and relevant actions are being taken in their regard in accordance with requirements of the legislation. Thus, the cases of functioning of 36 catering facilities countrywide including 20 facilities in Baku City violating the quarantine regime directed against the epidemic were detected during the period of March 30-31. The owners of each of those facilities have been fined according to relevant administrative procedure.

At the same time 2 persons have been identified as they disseminate disinformation regarding coronavirus infection on social network that can cause concerns of people, one of them has been warned, while another one has been placed at psychiatric hospital because of mental disabilities.

Over the last day administrative fines have been implemented for 333 people, as they violated regime against epidemics, as well as attempt to pass through special police posts set up in cities and regions of the Republic and auxulary roads which are away from determined police posts.
