Fire near Jeyranbatan water reservoir extinguished - UPDATED-1

The fire broken out near Jeyranbatan water reservoir situated on the territory of Absheron region was extinguished at 16:49 by forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, APA reports citing the ministry’s website.

The manpower and 17 units of equipment of the State Fire Protection Service, 3 units of helicopters of the Aviation detachment, and the manpower of the Civil defense troops and the Special Risky Rescue Service were involved in the fire extinguishment operation.

112 Call Center of the Ministry has received information on the shrubbery's catching fire nearby the Jeyranbatan water reservoir in the Jeyranbatan settlement of Absheron district.

Relevant forces and equipment of State Fire Protection Service and Special Risky Rescue Service have been involved in the site. Extinguishing works are underway now.

Deputy Ministers Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev and Tapdig Amiraslanov, as well as other relevant officials of the Ministry, are in the area now.

Measures on extinguishing the fire are continued.
