The fire here occurred before. After that incident, a warning was issued to the facility management in connection with the adoption of security measures in accordance with the plan presented by the Ministry for Emergencies. However, today's fire showed that the measures were not fully implemented again. Despite the incompleteness of repair and restoration work, as well as the fact that the facility has not been accepted into operation by us and the local executive authority, conditions have been created for the activities of entrepreneurs, said Kamaleddin Heydarov Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, who arrived at the site of the fire at the EuroHome shopping center, APA reports.

The Minister noted that the Ministry of Emergencies periodically conducts inspections in connection with construction and fire safety, makes a warning to entrepreneurs in connection with the existing shortcomings, and sends appeals to law enforcement agencies.

"For example, this entrepreneur shows great irresponsibility by operating his own facility in such a dangerous condition. The owner of the property and the entrepreneurs working here are most affected by such incidents. I think that after this incident, law enforcement agencies will take more serious measures against this object, such persons should be punished. Instructions and instructions of supervisory structures must be followed by all entrepreneurs," said Minister.

The Minister noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations made every effort to extinguish the fire in a short time.

The head of the Ministry of Emergencies also urged journalists to wear protective masks during the pandemic: "You are all here without masks. This is despite the fact that you should be the one to advocate the need for security measures during a pandemic. Please wear masks for your own safety and continue your journalistic activities."
