Azerbaijani firefighters battle wildfires shoulder-to-shoulder with Turkish firefighters - APA TV AT THE SCENE-VIDEO

"Azerbaijani firefighters are battling wildfire houlder-to-shoulder with Turkish firefighters," APA's correspondent, who was sent to the scene, said.

According to him, firefighters from Azerbaijan are currently in Marmaris: "Our firefighters are actively involved in extinguishing fires in mountainous regions."

Speaking about the current situation in the fire zone, our employee noted that the increased wind makes it difficult to extinguish the fire: “The fire is spreading rapidly. Therefore, the mayor of Marmaris issued an order to evacuate the population. Currently, only firefighters are working on the territory. As a result of the fires, the ecology of Turkey was seriously damaged, forests burned down, animals died ”.

He noted that there were no casualties among our firefighters.
