"In connection with large-scale forest fires in various regions of Turkey, on July 30, on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in extinguishing these fires. The forces and means of the Ministry were sent to the brotherly country in 4 stages. On July 31, fire and rescue teams of the ministry began to extinguish fires in various regions," said deputy head of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (SFPS MES), Colonel Rza Khudiyev, APA reports.

According to Khudiyev, fires in Turkey occurred mainly near the city of Marmaris, in the Mula region, around the cities of Aydin and Denizli: "According to the order of President Ilham Aliyev, the task set before us was to extinguish large-scale fires in a short time together with our Turkish colleagues. In a short time, we fulfilled the task of Mr. President. We were able to protect large cities, towns, villages, and private homes from fire. I think that the tasks set before the Ministry of Emergency Situations have already been fulfilled. At present, the second and last group arrived by plane."
