ICRC negotiates for Armenian deserter serviceman surrendered to Azerbaijani Army

ICRC is in a confidential bilateral dialogue with the concerned authorities with regard to the reported case, Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan, told APA.

According to its mandate, the ICRC visits detained individuals to monitor treatment and conditions of detention and support them to maintain contact with their families.

Note that on August 12, in the morning, as a result of the vigilance of the Azerbaijani units, a serviceman Kazaryan Aro Khaikovich deserting from the military unit of the enemy was detained in the direction of the Fuzuli region of the front.
