“On November 30, there were to be practical shooting training flights. We had to go from Sangachal airport to Garaheybat Training Center. The accident happened while the helicopter was landing,” Lieutenant Colonel Emil Jafarov who survived the crash of a military helicopter of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
He noted that there were no malfunctions in the helicopter: “We both jumped out when the helicopter crashed. I do not remember anything else. There were no suspicions. There were exceeding of limit regarding wind or load.”
He said that he had a leg injury and a break in his left arm. Captain Ramin Adilov, injured during the crash, noted that 24 people can sit in a helicopter: “There was 16 personnel. Everything was fine. We lost control suddenly during landing, crashed to the ground quickly.” Ramin Adilov excluded any outside interference regarding the crash of the helicopter.
