"The allegations that members of sexual minorities are invited to attend an informal meeting regarding their participation in rallies in various police stations of the capital in social networks are nonsense", Chief of the Baku City Police Department, Elshad Hajiyev told APA.

According to him, the police do not need assistance of anyone who is not authorized by law to provide public order and public safety in the capital: “They have been invited to the police stations and explanative discussions have been carried out with them under the prophylactics of sexual minorities on the basis of various content requests from citizens many times. They have been informed that their gathering in different parts of the capital causes the residents anxiety in these conversations. It seems that the content of these conversations is deliberately delivered to society differently”.

E. Hajiyev emphasized that, the police performs the duties assigned to the police to ensure the rights and freedoms of each citizen based on the laws of the country: "The falsehood of people who fulfill the orders of others about the police is the next unsuccessful attempt to create an artificial confrontation between the public and the police".
