Trade turnover in Baku increased by more than 3%

In January-May of the current year, the volume of trade turnover in Baku increased by 3.4% compared to January-May of 2018 and amounted to AZN 8 041,7 mln, APA-Economics reports citing Baku Statistics Committee.

Foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco products sold at the commodity exchange market increased by 3.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to AZN 3 518,6 million, while the volume of non-food products increased by 3.6% amounted to AZN 4 523,1 million.

According to the report, 27.4% of consumer products were sold in entities with legal status, 46.6% - in private property owned by individual entrepreneurs and 26% - in capital’s product markets.
