Forty-three fire engines and 160 personnel of the State Fire Protection Service of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations have been involved in extinguishing the fire that broke out in the one-storey building of the Republican Drug Abuse Treatment Center in Baku on Friday morning, APA reports.
Firefighters managed to arrive at the scene within 7 minutes.
The fire that broke out at 06:10 local time was extinguished at 08:30.
Twenty-four people died and several others were injured as a result of the fire.
