Jalilabad. Aghaddin Babayev – APA. A part of the Alat-Astara highway is underwater after a dam overflowed in the Jafarli village of Azerbaijan’s Jalilabad district after days of heavy rainfall in the country, Vidadi Dovlatov, deputy head of the district’s executive power, who is the chairman of the district’s emergencies commission, told APA’s South bureau.
A different road is available in the district’s Jafarli village for vehicles as an alternative to the Alat-Astara highway.
The concerned bodies are working to eliminate the consequences.
Earlier, several facilities in the district had been damaged as the River Misharchay burst its bank.
