“At present, the electricity supply to the north and west of the country as well as to Mingachevir city has been restored. Works continue to provide electricity to some districts in the capital. In general, it is planned to provide full energy supply within the next hours,” chief of Public Relations Department of Azerenerji OJSC Yakhya Babanli told APA.
According to him, this is a technical process: "This technical process will take a while since the system has collapsed, but because of the strategic importance Mingachevir and the western regions are supplied with electricity via our local resources."
Y. Babanli said that they currently work on parallel exchange with Georgia and Russia.
