Director general of Turan News Agency, Mehman Aliyev filed an appeal against the decision of Yasamal District Court on failure to commute the measure of restraint chosen against him.
Baku Court of Appeal will consider the appeal on Sept.8, informed lawyer Fuad Aghayev, APA reports.
M.Aliyev is charged under articles â„– 192.2 (illegal entrepreneurship), 213.1 (tax evasion) and 308 (abuse of power).
Earlier, a measure of restraint had been chosen against Aliyev in the form of arrest for a period of 3 months.
A petition was filed asking to commute the measure of restraint chosen against Aliyev, in the form of arrest.
The court refused to release Mehman Aliyev on bail.
