Criminal case against ex-employees of Azerbaijani communications and high-tech ministry sent to court

A criminal case opened against former employees of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has been sent to the court for consideration, Kamran Aliyev, head of the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, told a press conference on Monday, APA reported.

Separate proceedings have been initiated against 11 people accused of the criminal case opened against some employees of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies.

Commenting on a petition filed by attorneys for former minister Ali Abbasov’s paying 6.8 million manats in compensation for the damage, Aliyev said. “If Ali Abbasov, former Azerbaijani minister of communications and high technologies, reimbursed damage as a defendant, he would have been standing trial now.”
