Elnur Huseynzade, an Azerbaijani citizen who was detained by Armenians under unknown circumstances in February of this year, has had his term of pretrial detention extended by another two months, attorney Arkadi Israelyan said, APA reported citing Armenian sources.

The decision was passed by an illegal “court” of the separatist regime created in Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region which is under Armenian occupation.

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry earlier said that Elnur Huseynzade had before his detention by Armenians been discharged from the army due to his constant failure to abide by military discipline and refusal to do military service. The ministry called on the local media and social network users not to succumb to Armenian propaganda.
