Two earthquakes struck Azerbaijan’s Ismayilli district in a day, the Republican Seismological Survey Center at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told APA.
The first earthquake -- with a magnitude of 4.4 – hit Ismayilli, 15 km north-west of Pirgulu at 04:32 a.m. December 13.
The quake that occurred at a dept of 8 kilometers was felt in 4-magnitude in the epicenter, 3-magnitude in nearby settlements.
Just a minute later -- at 04:33 – the second earthquake measuring 4.5 magnitude struck Ismayilli, 13 km north-west of Pirgulu.
No casualties and damages were recorded after the quakes.
