Azerbaijan has quintupled the term of leasing of land plots for restoration of forests.
APA reports the parliament has today discussed amendments to the article #22 of the Forest Code of Azerbaijan.
According to the amendment, the corresponding executive authority (lessee) may transfer forest and forest plots not covered with forest vegetation, to forest management stakeholder (tenant) with the purpose of their restoration for the term of from one till forty nine years. Current term is from one to ten years.
The draft amendment was adopted by voting.
