Two people were killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in Wilmington, APA reports citing American media.
The shooting was reported at 3:11 p.m. in the 800 block of Bay View Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
One of the victims, later described as a female in her twenties, died at the scene and two others were taken to a hospital.
One of the wounded, an unidentified male, was in critical condition after being struck multiple times and later died at the hospital.
The other victim, another female said to be in her twenties, was reported to be in stable condition after being struck in the leg.
A 70-year-old woman was hit with a graze wound in the shooting and was said to be OK.
There was no suspect information immediately available but LAPD was confident the shooting was gang-related.
Because the shooting happened in broad daylight, the LAPD was asking for the public’s help in acquiring information.
The situation was not considered live or dangerous as of 6 p.m.
