President Trump wished U.K. Prime Minster Boris Johnson good health on Sunday during a White House press briefing following news of the former's hospitalization for coronavirus symptoms, APA reports citing The Hill.
At a daily briefing on the state of the Trump administration's efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus, Trump said that "all Americans" were praying for Johnson's speedy recovery.
"I want to express our nation's well wishes to Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he wages his own, personal fight with the virus," Trump said. "All Americans are praying for him; he's a friend of mine and a great gentleman."
"As you know he was brought to the hospital today but I'm hopeful and sure that he's going to be fine," the president continued.
