WTI jumped over 11% on Thursday as the oil prices continued yesterday's rally, recovering some losses caused by the coronavirus-related halts in traffic, APA reports citing Tele Trader.

Earlier in the day, IEA's Executive Director Fath Birol estimated the global oil storage could fill up by mid-June, with energy demand suffering this year the highest drop ever recorded. Meanwhile, supermajor Shell revealed that its earnings per share sank 100% to reach $0 in the first quarter of the year.

WTI for June delivery soared 11.35% to sell for $16.77 per barrel at 3:39 am ET, while Brent for the same month's settlement concurrently surged 6.97%, trading for $24.11.
