United States President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he told Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to impose further sanctions against Iran in response to Tehran's alleged involvement in the attacks on Saudi oil facilities, APA reports citing ABC News.
"I have just instructed the Secretary of the Treasury to substantially increase Sanctions on the country of Iran!" Trump tweeted.

The move comes after Washington accused Iran of being behind the recent attacks on Saudi Aramco's facilities. Tehran has denied the allegations and claimed the attacks were carried out by Houthi rebels as a "warning" to Riyadh to stop the war in Yemen.
