The blood reserve of Iran will exhaust in 5 days, said Bashir Hajibeygi, spokesman for the Iranian Blood Transfusion Center, APA’s bureau in Tehran reports.
“Iran has blood reserve only for 5 days. Although this is a normal number according to international standards, the Blood Transfusion Center calls on all donors to donate blood voluntarily. The need for blood and blood components is a constant and daily need. If people do not donate blood for two days, the country's blood supply network will face problems,” said Mr. Hajibeygi.
