Mainland China registers 11 new COVID-19 cases over past day, no deaths

Over the past 24 hours mainland China has registered 11 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, 39 patients have recovered, and no deaths have been recorded, the state health committee said in a statement, APA reports citing Sputnik.

Out of the 11 new cases, four were imported, the remaining seven were local.

Overall, 1,587 imported cases of coronavirus infection have now been identified in China. Some 811 people are still sick, 44 are in serious condition, 776 people have recovered, and not a single person who entered China infected from abroad has died.

"The state health committee received information on 82,758 confirmed cases of infection with the new type of coronavirus from 31 provinces (areas, cities of central subordination), including 1,003 people currently sick (82 people are in serious condition), 77,123 people were discharged from hospitals, and 4,632 died", the centre said.
