Task Force under Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan releases information on activities of the media in a strict quarantine regime

In the Annex to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 19, 2020 "On additional measures to tighten the special quarantine regime in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad and Absheron region" Mass media was also mentioned, Task Force told APA.

This point is a legal guarantee for the activities of the media under a strict special quarantine regime and shows that there are no legal restrictions on the activities of the media.

During the tightened special quarantine regime, the technical side of the exercise of this right is resolved by registering on the portal permission.e-gov.az.

Information on representatives of foreign media accredited in Azerbaijan has been entered into the portal.e-gov.az by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Representatives of local media, as noted in the Decision, must be registered on the portal e-gov.az with the permission of the management of the media outlet in which they operate.

Information on persons acting on the basis of a civil law contract is allowed by the employer, after entering information on individuals acting on the basis of TIN without concluding a contract with any legal entity with the permission.e-gov.az portal using their electronic signature.

Problems related to registration can be addressed to the Call Center of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service) 9108 and the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
