Turkey may continue its duty for the security and operation of Kabul International Airport in the future within the framework of relevant conditions, noted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, APA’s local bureau reports citing Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of Turkey.

Erdogan said that he hopes this responsibility that Turkey took will contribute to the elimination of concerns of all parties, including the international community and the Afghan people.

The Turkish head of state noted that they appreciate the discreet messages of the “Taliban”. He said it is important for the “Taliban” not to repeat its past mistakes, to treat ethnic groups with understanding, and to keep its promises.
