"We have agreed with the Republic of Azerbaijan to establish a joint committee," Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian said, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

Noting that relations between Tehran and Baku are developing in a positive atmosphere, Amir Abdullahiyan said that the joint committee will work to manage public opinion and the atmosphere in the media in the two countries.

Amir Abdullahiyan called it natural that there are differences on some issues in the relations between the two neighboring countries, noting that the important thing is that both sides have shown a serious will to overcome obstacles.

"My colleague Jeyhun Bayramov and I are in constant contact and have positive discussions for the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries and to overcome some misunderstandings," he said.

He noted that Iran considers its neighbors as its relatives and values and develops relations on the principle of kinship.
