Iran's former Interior Minister passes away

Iranian former Minister of Interior Affairs Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour has passed away, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour, who was 75 at the time of his death, had been living in the Iraqi city of Najaf for the past few years. After contracting the coronavirus, he was moved to the Iranian capital Tehran where he was hospitalized.

Note that Mohtashamipour served as interior minister in the 1980s and later as an MP.
