Negotiations have been conducted between Turkey and the Taliban, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while answering questions of journalists after his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, APA reports citing NTV Channel.

According to President, negotiations with the Taliban were conducted in Turkey's Embassy in Kabul and lasted for 3.5 hours.

"We do not have an obligatory to get permission from anybody for conducting negotiation with whom, where, and when. There is a serious management gap in Afghanistan now. We conduct negotiations if it is necessary. Negotiations, which lasted for 3.5 hours, were conducted with Taliban in our Embassy in Kabul," stressed head of state.
