Japan will invest "several tens of trillion yen" in the development and manufacturing of coronavirus vaccines and treatments, the country's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida reported on Thursday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The leader stated that the government is planning to extend support of the job market, asserting that "bold" increases in tax exemptions will be given to companies that raise employee wages.

Additionally, Tokyo "will take steps to fix supply-demand balance to address sharp fall in domestic prices," Kishida said.
