"I will visit Azerbaijan after the NATO summit," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a press conference before his visit to Brussels today, APA's Turkey bureau reports.
Mr. Erdogan said that the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood is the basis of peace and prosperity in the region: “Azerbaijan has achieved a historic victory in Karabakh and ended 30 years of occupation. This victory has laid the foundation for lasting peace in the region."
Stressing that it is undesirable to undermine this peace in Armenia due to domestic political interests, Erdogan recalled that he watched the Victory Parade in Baku on December 10 last year, Azerbaijan's just success: “This time I will visit the lands where Victory was won. Together with my brother Ilham Aliyev, we will visit Shusha, which has brought up historical figures for the Turkic World. On June 16, I will watch the match between my brother Ilham Aliyev and the Turkish national team.
