A solemn ceremony in relation to the recruitment of young officers who graduated from a Military Academy was held in one of the military units of the Azerbaijan Army, APA reports citing press service of the Azerbaijani MOD.
The event began with the solemn lining-up of military personnel on the parade ground of a military unit and the carrying the State Flag to the place of lining-up. The memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the shehids (martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence, and then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Young officers were informed about the history and combat path of the military unit, as well as service and social conditions created here for the military personnel.
The lieutenants got acquainted with the soldiers' barracks, warehouses, the vehicle park and the storage of military equipment, as well as weapons and military equipment that are in the use of the units.
