Until today, Azerbaijan has allocated $1 million military assistance to Afghanistan, said Ziyafat Asgarov, first deputy speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament and chairman of the parliament’s Committee on defense, security and anti-corruption.
Asgarov made the remarks on Monday during the ratification of the agreement signed between the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Afghanistan on training of Afghan military personnel in Azerbaijan’s educational instutions of the special purpose, APA reported.
Asgarov noted that Azerbaijan will continue to provide assistance to Afghanistan.
After the vote, the agreement was ratified.
