Azerbaijani defense minister embarks on visit to Tbilisi

Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov embarked on a visit to Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, on Monday.

Minister Hasanov first laid a wreath at a statue of the Azerbaijani national leader in Heydar Aliyev Part in the center of Tbilisi, an APA correspondent reported from Tbilisi.

The Azerbaijani defense minister is scheduled to meet with his Georgian counterpart Levan Izoria today.

On October 17, Tbilisi will host a trilateral meeting of the heads of Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish Armed Forces. The meeting will focus on issues of joint cooperation and regional security.
