Azerbaijan checks combat training level of mortar units stationed on frontline

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces are checking the combat training level of mortar units stationed on the frontline, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told APA on Tuesday.

The mortar detachments, involved in the practical training in mountain forest and steppe areas, are test-firing 120mm self-propelled systems ‘CARDOM’ to destruct simulated light armored vehicles, manpower, firing positions as well as other conditional enemy targets located behind the natural obstacles.

Military personnel are performing standards for the forming-up of the units in the order of battle, detecting and determining the targets, selecting the place for shooting, repositioning and special training.
