"This kind of news published by the Armenian government is aimed at deceiving different countries in the military alliance by bringing them to its ugly adventure and justify its provocations against Azerbaijani civilians residing in border villages", the Defense Ministry told APA of false news shared by Armenian media.
Armenian media reported that Azerbaijani armed forces fired on Armenian villages located near the state border.
"The Kamarli and Gaymagli villages of Qazakh district and the Kohanabi, Agbulag, and Aghdam villages of Azerbaijan's Tovuz district were fired on by the Armenian armed forces from points located near the Berd and Noyemberyan districts from guns of different calibres. As a result, civilian facilities in the settlements, sown areas and private farms were damaged," the Minister said, noting that the enemy was silenced immediately with retaliatory fire.
"Armenia's criminal-political regime is fully responsible for the tension and the consequences of the situation," he added.
