Turkey reveals term for signing new gas treaties with Russia

Turkey intends on signing new gas treaties with Russia for 3-10 years until the end of the current year, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez, APA-Economics reports citing Anadolu Agency.

According to him, duration of treaties with Russia, which ends at the end of this year, will be extended. Duration of the treaties will not be as long as the previous one, they will be able to cover a period from 3 to 10 years.

"We suppose that the treaty will be signed until the end of the year. According to needs, there will be an opportunity to increase supply. This article did not exist in the previous treaty," F. Donmez noted.

F. Donmez also added that the principal agreement has already been reached with the Russian Federation, gas price will be same for state pipeline company BOTAS and private suppliers.
