AzerGold Close Joint Stock Company (CJSC) continues its activity in the direction of putting new mines into operation in the region and increasing economic productivity, Company told APA-Economics.
Thus, in accordance with the Order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on March 19 on implementation of measures regarding the provision of the durability of the country economy's stability and strength against external impacts, the establishment of "Chovdar" Integrated Regional Processing Area has been decided on the basis of "Chovdar" Ore Processing Area in Dashkesen within the framework of the action plan, considered by the Company.
On November 28, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev and Deputy Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AzerGold CJSC Rovshan Najaf visited the Chovdar gold mining enterprise to familiarize themselves with the project.
Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, spoke in detail about the project. He noted that the main goal of creating a Regional Processing Site is the centralized use of available material and technical resources and, thereby, ensuring the material efficiency of deposits that carry possible risks of unprofitability upon individual consideration.
The creation of the Regional Processing Site helps to reduce capital and operating costs, ensure the sustainability of production processes, as well as minimize possible environmental impact and stimulate economic activity in the regions.
At the meeting, information was also given on the work done with the aim of putting into operation the Agyokhush gold field, discovered in 2017 by geologists of AzerGold CJSC. In June this year, this field was registered in the state balance of mineral reserves by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan. Despite the fact that "Aghyokhush" is considered a relatively small deposit, its location near the operating Chovdar gold mining enterprise creates favorable conditions for conducting operational work here without creating additional infrastructure and capital investments.
